The bonus disc feature with the live DVD is the previously unavailable Virgin Germany 25th Birthday concert in Munich in 2002, at which Ferry showcased then new tracks from 'Frantic' as well as several Roxy Music classics. The ageing rocker, who turns 63 next month (Sep08), hates to think about his age - because he still feels like a teen. He says, "Age is extraordinary. When you see the numbers, you can't believe it. I feel I should have a stick, because that's how we used to think. Like you were on your way out. I still think I'm on my way in." And the singer has no intention of changing his ways as he approaches retirement age, insisting he doesn't feel as mature as his pension-collecting peers. Ferry adds, "It's silly but I still feel other people are more grown-up. Bank managers are grown-up people and, by comparison, I feel slightly degenerate. I think, 'When I grow up I'll do this or that', and I haven't quite got there yet." August 11 Ferry to be awarded Icon honourRoxy Music frontman Bryan Ferry is to be named a BMI Icon at the US performing rights organisation's annual London Awards, it has been announced. The Icon honour is given to BMI songwriters who have had "a unique and indelible influence on generations of music makers". The 62-year-old will receive the award at the ceremony on 7 October. Previous UK recipients include Kinks singer-songwriter Ray Davies, Steve Winwood and Van Morrison. Continuous airplay Ferry, who came to prominence in the 1970s as the lead vocalist and principal songwriter with Roxy Music, is best known for hits Slave to Love and More Than This. He released his latest studio album, Dylanesque, in 2007. The ceremony will recognise the UK, European and Jamaican songwriters and publishers of the past year and their most-played BMI songs on US radio and television. BMI will also bestow "Million-Air" certificates on writers and publishers whose songs have achieved over three million US radio and television performances - the equivalent of more than 17 years of continuous airplay. BMI holds a number of awards ceremonies every year. It was announced last week that The Jacksons would be named Icons at the Urban Awards in September. July 14 Let's stick togetherFive months after their shock split, it looks like Bryan Ferry and Katie Turner are giving their relationship another try. The former lovers, who split in February after six years together, were inseparable at the Goodwood Festival of Speed at Goodwood House in West Sussex yesterday. This is the second time the couple have been spotted together in the past week - they were photographed at a TopShop party in London nightclub Tramp on Wednesday night.
Back together: Bryan Ferry and Katie Turner at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in West Sussex yesterday On Sunday, a suave-looking Ferry dressed in jeans and blue jacket happily chatted away with Turner, who went for the country look in a checked dress and riding boots. The couple joined Chris Evans, Billy Connolly, Lewis Hamilton and Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger at the star-studded event. The couple were reported to have split in February over their disagreement over whether to start a family. At 62, Ferry is already father to four grown-up children with his ex-wife Lucy Helmore, who he divorced in 2002.
Let's stick together: Bryan Ferry and Katie Turner look happy to be photographed together Ferry started dating the then-21-year-old Turner in 2001 when she was a dancer on his tour. The apparently split because Turner wanted to have children, while Ferry believed he was too old. The couple split once before in 2003, when Katie was photographed lugging boxes out of their flat in Kensington, West London. They got back together shortly afterwards. The singer has said of their age-gap: 'It doesn't seem weird to me at all. I know lots of people of different ages. I don't just hang out with people who are 60.' Just last week, Ferry prompted reports he was dating model Lily Cole after the pair were photographed leaving jazz club Ronnie Scott's in London. Lily Cole with Brian Ferry The 20-year-old redhead is said to be enjoying a fledgling romance with actor Jude Law, 35. But she set tongues wagging after photographers spied her leaving the Cipriani restaurant in London's Mayfair with Roxy Music star Ferry, a man comfortably old enough to be her grandfather. The pair recently duetted together at a charity karaoke event, singing Ferry's old hit Let's Stick Together at Ronnie Scott's jazz club, and appear to get along famously. Cole is in demand as one of Britain's hottest modelling talents. She is set to steal the limelight from supermodel Kate Moss after landing a deal to become the new face of Rimmel cosmetics, along with singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor. This October she is due to begin a degree at Cambridge University, and she has also found time to launch a film career, with a role opposite the late Heath Ledger in forthcoming Terry Gilliam project The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. Ferry has a fondness for models - in the Seventies he had a relationship with Jerry Hall until she left him for Rolling Stone Mick Jagger. He went on to marry Lucy Helmore, who had appeared on the cover of one of his albums, and they divorced after 20 years together. He went on to date backing singer Katie Turner, but they recently split. Cole is five years younger than Ferry's son, Otis, who famously stormed the House of Commons in protest at anti-hunting legislation
